Welcome to Zen Pet, an exclusive mobile holistic veterinary service for small animals in the Greater Denver area. More often clients are seeking information on therapies such as energy medicine, acupuncture, herbs, cannabis, essential oils, and other holistic supplements for their pets. What I offer with the initial consult is unique. I practice Chinese Veterinary Medicine and trained at the Chi Institute in Florida for acupuncture, herbal therapies, tui na, and Chinese food therapy. In addition, I have training in energy medicine, sound therapy with tuning forks, and have worked with essential oils for over 20 years. I strive to bridge the gap between traditional and holistic veterinary medicine by providing holistic services to complement western treatments that your pet may already be receiving. It’s a collaboration to receive the best of both disciplines.

I provide the following unique treatment options:

  • Acupuncture
  • Chinese and Western Herbal Therapy
  • Chinese Food Therapy and diet counseling
  • Energy Medicine – Healing Touch For Animals
  • Aromatherapy / Essential Oils
  • Sound and Vibrational Therapy with Tuning forks
  • Tui Na (Chinese gentle massage and Chiropractic)
  • Cannabis counseling

I also provide an at home euthanasia service that incorporates essential oils and energy work.

Types of conditions that may benefit from my services:

  • Chronic digestive disorders – diarrhea, vomiting, IBD
  • Cancer
  • Immune-mediated disorders
  • Chronic urinary tract diseases – bladder stones or infections
  • Seizures
  • Allergies – environmental or food related
  • Back and neck pain /arthritis / pinched nerves / limping
  • Asthma / bronchitis / sinus infections / nasal discharge
  • Heart failure, heart murmurs
  • Geriatric weakness
  • Postoperative pain
  • Nutritional counseling

I am not intended to serve as a primary care provider. Because I am mobile only, I have chosen not to provide vaccines, heart worm tests, bloodwork, or other diagnostics. These services should be with your primary care Veterinarian. I provide comprehensive holistic counseling and therapies to complement the care your pet is already receiving. I would discuss preventative care such as minimal vaccine protocols, vaccine titers, species-appropriate nutrition to reduce inflammation, and ways to support the immune system. I also develop treatment protocols for your pets specific health challenges.

The initial consult is quite involved with holistic counseling, custom therapy protocols, and includes a treatment that may involve acupuncture, energy work, tui na, or sound therapy. The consult fee includes ongoing advice and support via email for the conditions of focus at the time of the visit as well as travel time. Initial consults are 90 minutes, follow up visits are 60 minutes.

A yearly visit is required to maintain a doctor – patient relationship for ongoing advice. If a new problem arises unrelated to what was addressed at the initial consult, a follow-up visit and exam is required to address the new concern.

I see patients Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays by appointment.
